Politics: Several people have been arrested by Iran’s security forces under charges of espionage for allegedly collecting information in classified zones. The arrested peoples were supposedly working under the coverage of environmental projects.

Economics: European countries such as France and Germany are pushing for more trade with Iran despite President Trump’s vows to restore sanctions on the country.

Culture: Tehran Taboo, an animated film which criticizes Iranian society and its strict religious regime, follows the life of three women struggling to make ends meet for themselves and their children, and has received much critical review in Iran.

Politics: Kim Jong Un of North Korea recently praised South Korea for its hosting of the Winter Olympics, reflecting a potential thaw in North-South relations. The comment has also sparked dialogue about the promotion of peace.

Economics: More than 400 North Korean supporters and performers have traveled to Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Olympics. South Korea has said it will pay the cost of hosting North Korea's delegation.

Culture: After the Winter Olympics shed light on the controversial custom, nearly 500,000 people have since signed a petition against eating dog meat in South Korea.
