Johnson is a ten-time Grammy nominee whose new album , Midnight Gasoline , marks his first solo studio album in 14 years . “ He ’ s just a traditional country guy ,” said Tiffany Finley , executive director of MMF who works with an allvolunteer board . “ He wrote one of George Strait ’ s bigger hits , ‘ Give It Away .’ He has his own songs that are very popular . ... ‘ In Color ’ has 200-andsomething million streams , which is crazy . He definitely appeals to that ( market that ’ s ) not pop country , it ’ s more of what I would call ‘ outlaw country .’ He ’ s been around for a long time .”
The Kentucky Headhunters first came out of in Edmonton , Kentucky in 1968 ,

and have been known for their rolicking , rocking sound ever since . Known particularly for their hit “ Dumas Walker ” among many others , will be honored as this year ’ s official MMF " Masters ," and will perform on Saturday , July 12 just before Johnson takes the stage .
