Events like the Railbird Festival and Bourbon and Beyond may take place in bigger cities , but when it comes to live music in the Bluegrass State , Somerset ' s Master Musicians Festival can play on the same stage as anyone .

It ' s year 32 for the Masters Musicians Festival , a two-day outdoor celebration of

musicians from this area , from this state , and from basically everyone ' s playlist ( or

record shelf , if you ' re of a more venerable generation ), and the

event is continuing its tradition of bringing big-name performers to Pulaski County — a list

that includes the likes of Willie Nelson , John Prine , Dwight Yoakam ,

Counting Crows , Wynonna Judd , Kenny Wayne Shepherd , Blues Traveler , and last year ' s headliners , The Wallflowers .

Scheduled for Friday , July 11 and Saturday , July 12 , at the sylvan grounds of Festival Field located behind Somerset Community College , this year ' s MMF will be headlined by country music icon Jamey Johnson . And if that ' s not enough , he ' ll
