The Cumberland Grill House located at 6075 S . Hwy . 27 in Burnside in the former Guthrie ’ s location features some of the finest food in the Lake Cumberland area .

Diners can also enjoy the most spectacular , unobstructed view of Lake Cumberland from both its dining room and deck .

And since the beginning of the year the upstairs room that was a popular option for many years at the location has reopened

for larger private group reservations and has the best views of the lake in the entire building .

Local resident Mike Whitaker purchased Guthrie ’ s in August 2024 and rebranded it as the Cumberland Grill House .

Diners can still find their favorite servers they came to love over the years as well as their most popular dishes from Guthrie ’ s .

But Cumberland Grill House has taken the food to a new level with several additions to the menu and

hours of operation .

Cumberland Grill is now open seven days a week from 11 a . m . to 9 p . m . They renovated and upgraded the bar area to provide a fresh atmosphere for a more pleasurable experience for patrons .

Another exciting change for long-time customers is the reopening of the once popular upstairs private dining area , which has the most expansive and grand view of Lake Cumberland in the entire building .

“ We are renovated

the upstairs room for private parties , wedding dinners and such which is available by reservation only ,” manager Tim Hall said . “ While the view from the dining room and deck is spectacular , that room really has the million dollar view of Lake Cumberland .”

One of the biggest changes to Cumberland Grill is a new $ 12.99 Lunch Menu , which is available from 11 a . m . to 3 p . m . that includes 13 sandwich type items served with one side .
