Varaždin is the city in which the angels sleep. Right next to the Franciscan Church,there
is an angel nest and a little bit further in Kranjčevićeva street there is the Museum of
angels.

Špancirfest
The most famous cultural event is the Špancirfest - a festival of street walkers. During
the 10 days of Špancirfest the streets are full of performers and evenings are reserved
for concerts and performances. During the Špancirfest, the city notary opens his
office,“verglaš“ walks the streets and plays the verglec, we can see the city guard –
„Purgari“.
