City Museums
City museum of Varaždin is located on several locations. One of the locations is the
castle called Old Town. There’s a permanent exhibition in it, cultural-historical
department.
In the Hercer palace there is the World of Insects.
In the Sermage palace there is the Gallery of old and new artisans.
Museum of Croatian fire department in Varaždin, there’s a large amount of exhibits
that show old fire trucks and old fire equipment.
The Museum of Angels
According to fine artist Zeljko Prstec, Varazdin is a town in which angels sleep. This is
also the reason why he is so much professionally involved with them as a motif. Visit
Varazdin’s Museum of Angels on address Silvije Strahimira Kranjcevica Street 14, and
explore these winged beings and their unique world. You don’t have to be religious to
enjoy the works of Prstec, as his art is opened to anyone, and will impress no matter
one’s spiritual beliefs.
