Social Issue Focus: Poverty,
Homelessness, Women, Sexual
Exploitation, Refugee Youth
Mission: The Net is a nonprofit in Fort
Worth that exists to empower the city to
restore dignity to those in poverty through
community & relationships. We serve 3
populations: people experiencing
homelessness, women who have been
sexually exploited, and refugee youth. Our
goal is to see the people we serve walk in
freedom and joy as whole individuals.  
The intern will:
Organize volunteer events with behind
the scenes work
Setup and tear down evens
Train volunteers on effective methods
of service. Intern will be trained first
Learn ins and outs of Nonprofit
Organization startup
Research poverty alleviation
Help troubleshoot internal issues that
arise
