Then came the final round at Indianapolis GP. Three more rounds was all that stood between Brains and the DTCC Title. PTG Mesasphere needed 3 wins & 3 fastest laps to take the title and brains to place high for the championship. These 3 races saw the best racing of the championship with the series long dominance of the BMW coming to an end. Mesa managed to take all 3 races to Brains, but he was pushing hard to get his title. The constant luck of brains and his dreaded circuit took shape. He placed 3rd on the first 2 races, if he could just hold for one last race and place 4th or higher the championship was his, but lady luck was on PTG Mesasphere's side. Brains made a crucial mistake early in the race and despite his best efforts he was unable to grasp his much needed 4th spot. But that wasn’t the end; he managed to get fastest lap on race 3. This put him and Mesa tied with 251 points a piece.

After some long debating it was decided that as braininmyboxers and PTG Mesasphere had equal points and equal wins, that they would be crowned joint champions and Mesa would carry the 000 board and brains to take the 001 board.
