Milestones

Here are some of the achievements so far:

• Over 3,500 volunteering hours were accumulated at the Commonwealth Games

Police Scotland seconded a Sergeant to act as the full-time Programme Manager.

• 5 Coordinators were appointed (one for each pilot group) to organise the day to day operations in local areas.

• 36 adult volunteerscompleted the two-day youth leadership training facilitated by YouthLink Scotland.

• 120 young people were recruited in total.

• 108 young people have completed the full 12 week training, marked by a ‘passing out’ ceremony at Tulliallan Scottish Police College.

• The Scottish Government has awarded PSYV £123,000 to roll out the programme to another 9 areas, covering all 14 police divisions Scotland wide.
