Sound Bath for stress relief and deep relaxation
A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience using calming sound frequencies from several different kinds of instruments like singing bowls and chimes to help you unwind. Research shows sound therapy can lower heart rates, reduce stress hormones and promote better sleep and focus. No movement or prior experience required. The session is ideal for those with busy minds and tired bodies.
The class takes place from 6-7 p. m. on the first Thursday of the month.
Rock Steady fighters celebrate Halloween
Our Parks and Recreation fitness team had a spook-tacular week celebrating Halloween with the Rock Steady Parkinson’ s fighters.
They kicked it off with some frightfully fun relay races and learned to dance like zombies to " Thriller " with Coach Gaby. The grand finale was a hauntingly delightful event Oct. 31, featuring shadow boxing, trivia games, costumes and delicious ice cream and candy.
Adding to the excitement, Coach Jen made a surprise visit! The fighters were happy to see her back and meet the little ones. The team is beyond proud of their fighters and incredibly grateful for the amazing volunteers who helped make the week unforgettable.
Tournament time at The Saints Golf Course
The Saints Golf Course is off to a great start for the new fiscal year. The weather has been fantastic, and the course and the driving range have been supporting heavy customer traffic.
The Saints also has hosted several tournaments this fall: U. S. Kids, St. Lucie County Humane Society, St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, The Police Athletic League and The City Golf Championship. Each of these had very good turnouts with everyone having a great time.
The Saints staff works hard each day providing the best golfing experience possible for everyone in the City and the surrounding communities.
