As hurricane season comes to a close, remember to let the light shine through
As we wind down from a quiet hurricane season, Code Compliance reminds residents that hurricane shutters on unoccupied homes must be removed by Dec. 1 per City Ordinance. If you have hurricane shutters on an occupied home, make arrangements to remove them immediately as it is not only a violation of City Ordinance, but also a fire hazard to all occupants of the home, which can include children, the elderly and pets.
