Fitness
The Parks and Recreation fitness team is excited to launch the Fitness Parks Pass. The program will allow community members to join fitness classes in our beautiful parks all over the City.
Those interested in attending can join the first class of the program, Yoga at The Saints through April and will be led by instructor, Olivia. Classes will be 9 a. m. every Saturday
Participants can buy a five-class punch card for $ 25 or a 12-class punch card for $ 50. Punch cards can be purchased at the Community Fitness & Wellness Center or the MIDFLORIDA Event Center Fitness & Wellness Center.
Announcements
Rugby Mini Camp returned Oct. 15 at Riverland Paseo Park. The program is available for ages 7-16.
Recreation
New programs have started at the Community Center
The Golden Years Senior Dance was held Nov. 1 at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center.
• Multi-media art class for adults 18 and older. It ' s held at 10 a. m. Tuesdays. Monthly fee is $ 85; drop-in fee is $ 20.
• Tippi Toes Dance, ages 1 1 / 2 to 3, baby ballet on Fridays $ 75 a month.
• Tippi Toes Dance, ages 3-5, combo ballet, tap and jazz on Fridays. $ 75 a month.
• Barre class, 6-7 p. m. Thursdays. $ 35 a month.
Parks and Recreation attends NRPA Conference The Parks and Recreation team attended the National Recreation and Parks Association Conference from Sept. 16-18 in Orlando. The conference brings together professionals from around the country to share ideas, discover new tools and strengthen connections within the industry.
Team members participated in a variety of educational sessions, led by experts in the field of Parks and Recreation, to investigate emerging trends, best practices and creative solutions to improve service to the community. The conference also provided an opportunity to engage with vendors to explore the latest Parks and Recreation technologies, products and resources designed to enhance the quality of programs and services.
