Community Garden and Little Free Library installed on Tulip Boulevard
On Sept. 18, a community green space was installed along Tulip Boulevard, complementing the recently added Little Free Library and providing Whispering Pines residents with easy access to books and native plants.
The Little Free Library features books for all ages and includes a seed packet exchange to encourage gardening throughout the community.
To ensure ADA compliance, the Facilities Department prepared the site, while volunteers decorated and stocked the library. The Public Works Department enhanced the area by removing grass and installing a wooden border with fresh soil. Naturally PSL partnered with residents and UF / IFAS Master Gardeners to select drought-tolerant plants.
Seventeen volunteers from Treasure Coast High School’ s Key Club helped unload materials, organize teams and complete the planting. They were joined by Rachel and her family, who enthusiastically pitched in to bring the garden to life. This collaborative effort has transformed Tulip Boulevard into a vibrant hub for connection, education and environmental stewardship.
