PSLPD recognizes the people and moments that make a difference
This month brought several meaningful moments for the Port St. Lucie Police Department, highlighting the dedication of our members and the ways PSLPD continues to support and connect with the community.
From recognizing the women who serve in law enforcement to helping a local student and celebrating the expertise of our Crime Scene Investigators to welcoming two new solo officers to the road, the month reflected the many ways our department serves.
In recognition of National Policewoman Day, PSLPD celebrated the women who serve throughout our department and the important roles they play in the law enforcement profession. Their dedication, professionalism and commitment to serving others continue to make a difference within our department and throughout the community.
PSLPD ' s Police Athletic League( PAL) officers also helped make a difference for a local student who was walking several miles to school each day. After the student ' s Treasure Coast High School principal reached out to our officers, PAL worked with the department to provide the student with a bicycle, helping make his daily journey a little easier.
During National Forensic Science Week, PSLPD recognized our Crime Scene Investigators and the important work they do behind the scenes. Their knowledge, attention to detail and dedication play an essential role in supporting investigations and helping uncover the evidence needed to move cases forward.
The department also congratulated two officers who successfully completed the Field Training Officer Program. Following months of academy training and additional months of supervised field training, Officers Day and Clemente have officially completed their training and are now working independently on the road.
