Port St. Lucie brings home three statewide awards
The Special Events team recently received three SunSational Awards at the Florida Festivals & Events Association( FFEA) Annual Convention. The awards recognize outstanding work in event promotion and marketing, with submissions from cities and event organizations throughout Florida.
Port St. Lucie earned first place in photography for a colorful image captured during the Port St. Lucie International Fest, one of the City’ s most vibrant cultural celebrations. The winning photo reflects the energy and traditions which bring the community together to celebrate cultures from around the world.
The City also received first place for promotional video for the Citizen Summit. The video was produced with content from the event to highlight what residents and staff enjoyed most and learned from the Citizen Summit. Check out the video here.
Rounding out the recognition, the City earned third place for program design for the Veterans Day Ceremony. The brochure provided attendees with event details and the ceremony program while recognizing the veterans organizations, community partners and participants who come together each year to honor those who have served our country.
Beyond the awards, members of the Special Events team attended the annual convention alongside event professionals from throughout the state. The conference provided opportunities to participate in training sessions, share ideas and best practices, learn about new event trends and resources and connect with others in the industry.
Bringing those ideas and experiences back to Port St. Lucie helps the team continue to enhance the City ' s events and create meaningful experiences for residents and visitors.
