FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 BUDGET AND MORE
Join the City of PSL for community sessions on the 2026-27 budget, Amendment 3 and local ballot initiatives
The City of Port St. Lucie invites residents to join us for a series of Community Conversations, informative outreach sessions designed to help residents and business owners stay informed about key issues shaping our city in the months ahead.
During these sessions, residents will get clear, easy‐to‐understand insights on these important topics:
City of Port St. Lucie Proposed Budget for 2026 – 27
The City’ s proposed budget, which will be adopted at the end of September.
Amendment 3
The Amendment 3 initiative that, if passed by 60 percent of Florida voters, would increase homestead property exemptions for non-school taxes.
St. Lucie County Half‐Cent Sales Tax Referendum
A referendum to renew the existing Half‐Cent Sales Tax in St. Lucie County, which would continue to provide funding for critical infrastructure projects. The current sales tax was approved by voters in 2018 and is set to expire in 2028.
Twice-a-Week Trash Collection
A non-binding straw poll that would give City of Port St. Lucie residents a chance to vote on whether they prefer increasing trash pickup from once per week to twice per week for an additional fee.
