Public Works celebrates our PATH Intern: Jasmin Guerrero
For eight weeks this summer, Public Works welcomed Jasmin Guerrero, a talented student from Fort Pierce Central High School, as part of the Prepare, Aspire, Train, Home( PATH) Internship Program.
Jasmin quickly became a valued team member, assisting with a variety of departmental activities and demonstrating remarkable organization and responsibility. We enjoyed collaborating with her and appreciated her positive attitude and dedication.
The department proudly celebrated Jasmin’ s achievements at the PATH graduation ceremony, where she showcased her internship projects and shared insights from her experience. Her contributions enriched the team and her professionalism left a lasting impression on staff members.
We wish Jasmin continued success in her academic and professional journey, and we look forward to the possibility of working with her again in the future!
Teachers and students return: Tips for a safe start to the school year
As the new school year approaches, teachers and students will soon be returning to the classroom and the early morning streets will be full of activity once again.
With students walking to bus stops and crossing roads during the busiest hours, it’ s important for all drivers to stay alert and exercise caution.
Please remember to stop for school buses whenever the lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended; this keeps children safe as they board or exit. Slow down in school zones and be mindful of students crossing the street or waiting at bus stops.
