The closures are necessary because of space constraints, safety concerns and the integrity of the installation. They will also help maintain the project schedule. Necessary advance warning and detour signage will be in place.
Improvements to the corridor will help with future traffic volumes and preserve the integrity of the neighborhood. The project will improve safety, enhance pedestrian and bicycle movements, alleviate congestion and provide more efficient traffic flow. Improvements on Floresta Drive Phase 3 include new roundabouts, dedicated bicycle lanes, sidewalks, intersection Improvements at Prima Vista and Floresta, stormwater treatment pond site, integration with Crosstown Parkway intersection, installation of baffle boxes and improvements to the D-11 Canal.
Motorists are asked to use caution and slow down while traveling in the work zone. The speed limit was reduced to 25 mph in the work zone for the safety of residents, motorists and workers.
Roadway Resurfacing www. cityofpsl. com / repaving The Sales Tax resurfacing goal for Fiscal Year 2024-25 is 18.75 miles with 16.50 miles completed to date. Residents are notified in advance of resurfacing.
