New trees planted in St. Lucie North neighborhood A total of 76 trees were planted in the St. Lucie North neighborhood along Selvitz Road from NW Peachtree Boulevard to NW Manville Drive.
The trees include live oaks, sycamore, crape myrtle lavender and royal Poincianas. The City was able to incorporate the new trees by using a grant from the U. S. Forest Service, under the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The purpose of the grant is to promote better urban forest management and provide resources to expand tree canopy throughout Florida.
