End-of-school-year celebration for high schoolers!
The Big Summer Blowout Event was a lively celebration, planned exclusively for high school students, and hosted in partnership with the Port St. Lucie Youth Council to mark the end of the school year.
Built for accessibility from the ground up, the playground will offer engaging and developmentally appropriate play zones for children ages 2-5 and 5-12, ensuring early learners and older adventurers have opportunities to challenge themselves, grow and have fun. The design emphasizes inclusive features so children of all abilities can participate, play together and share the joy of discovery.
Recognizing the Florida heat, the project also incorporates strategically placed shade structures to provide comfort, protection and extended play opportunities throughout the day. Already in progress, construction is anticipated to be completed by September, marking the beginning of a new era for River Place Park.
Held on the final day of classes June 2, the event offered a vibrant mix of entertainment, games, delicious food and plenty of opportunities for teens to socialize, make new friends and enjoy the start of summer in a safe, inviting atmosphere.
Activities included:
• Obstacle course, laser tag and football bowling
• Live DJ entertainment
• 360-degree photo booth
• Food, snacks and refreshments
• Giveaways
• Interactive workshops www. PSLParks. com
