Latest Pop-Up Cleanup caps off KPSLB’ s year-long initiative for America ' s 250th
On May 16, Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful hosted the final Pop-Up Cleanup of its year-long initiative, getting our City ready to celebrate the nation’ s 250th birthday. Since March 2025, KPSLB has been fulfilling its commitment to a cleaner, greener city with our dedicated volunteers leading the way.
At the 2025 Citizen Summit, KPSLB asked residents where they would most like to see a mini neighborhood cleanup. In response to their suggestions, and through our partnerships with Parks and Recreation, the Love Your Block Grant and Naturally PSL, KPSLB hosted six Pop-Up Cleanups during this time, collecting litter( and the occasional misplaced shopping cart) from all across the City.
At our most recent Pop-Up Cleanup at Veterans Memorial Park at Rivergate, KPSLB:
• Made new friends who recently relocated to PSL
• Connected with a group doing their cleanup in memory of a loved one, a frequent volunteer who was passionate about keeping Port St. Lucie clean and beautiful
• Saw several familiar faces from our Adopt-A- Street program and City departments
In total, 30 volunteers collected 106 pounds of litter from surrounding roadsides and green spaces!
KPSLB wants to thank volunteer City Ambassador Susan, who helped run the event!
To date, 220 volunteers participated in KPSLB ' s Pop- Up Cleanups and collected 582.5 pounds of litter! KPSLB is grateful to the many volunteers who have spent so much time caring for our communities and keeping our City clean and beautiful.
KPSLB looks forward to meeting new volunteers and seeing those familiar faces at our future cleanups.
KPSLB extends its deepest gratitude to our volunteers, for dedicating their time and energy throughout the years, to ensuring we live in a clean, green city and for keeping Port St. Lucie beautiful!
