Second entertainment district parcel sells in Southern Grove
The Government Finance Corporation( GFC) entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement( PSA) with Tradition Entertainment District, LLC in early 2024 for a 44-plus acre parcel at the northeast corner of SW Village Parkway and the future Marshall Parkway. The closing occurred in mid- May, resulting in $ 12 million in revenue for the GFC. This is the second of two entertainment destinations envisioned along SW Village Parkway and is entitled with up to 300,000 square feet of retail use; up to 50,000 square feet of office / medical use; and up to 140 hotel rooms.
The City ' s original vision for this area included a mix of industrial, retail and recreational uses. The Southern Grove Master Plan further envisioned the industrial area serving as the City’ s Jobs Corridor and being situated along Interstate 95. The entertainment and retail uses would then serve as a buffer between the Jobs Corridor and residential communities along SW Village Parkway.
