Young Engineers Summer Camp starts June 11 Young Engineers Summer Camp 2026 Registration is open! Keep your child learning, creating and having fun all summer long with exciting hands-on STEAM activities! Campers will explore:
• Mechanical engineering and building
• Coding and programming( Algobrix, C or Python)
• Robotics projects to build teamwork, creativity and new friendships
This camp is for ages 5-13. Camp is taught by instructors Patrice Astralaga and / or Rodney Plancher.
• 9 a. m. to noon Wednesday-Friday, starting June 11
• $ 225 per week; $ 85 drop-in rate.( Weeks 1 and 4 will have a reduced weekly fee of $ 150.)

Rise With Confidence Class
Jill and Sandy, alongside Jen Worley, led a special Rise with Confidence class April 29 at the Community Fitness and Wellness Center. The one-hour session taught safe techniques for getting up after a fall, helping participants feel safer, more independent and more confident in their everyday movement.
Parks and Recreation leaders attend statewide summit
Parks and Recreation Director Brad Keen and Assistant Director Mike Kendrick recently represented the department at the Florida Recreation Parks Association Agency Summit held in Palm Beach Gardens on April 16-17.
The summit convened industry professionals from across the state to exchange insights, explore emerging trends and foster collaboration aimed at enhancing parks and recreation services for communities throughout Florida.
The participation of Brad and Mike underscores the department’ s ongoing dedication to remaining actively engaged and informed on statewide initiatives.
