Rosser Lake guided hike
One of the most exciting events this month was the first of many guided hikes through our newest land acquisition, Rosser Lakes Preserve.
This 105-acre site was the first acquisition of Naturally PSL Land Bank, a strategic move to transform land once slated for housing development to a permanent preserve for wildlife and passive recreation.
In collaboration with UF / IFAS St. Lucie County extension office Natural Resource Agent, the City provided a free guided hike with insights into the site’ s unique ecology and condition for the 20-plus residents who participated the event.
From hearing the residents’ desire to preserve the land to activating it for public enjoyment, the City continues to prioritize the protection of these green spaces and places through Naturally PSL.
