OMB wins two national awards
The Office of Management and Budget is starting off 2026 with a bang: The Budget and Procurement Teams already have been recognized nationally for achievements in excellence.
The Government Finance Officers Association( GFOA) has awarded the City of Port St. Lucie the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget. The award reflects the City’ s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, which it has maintained this level of excellence for 37 consecutive years.
GFOA also awarded special recognition to the City for performance measures, strategic goals and strategies and budget process.
In addition, the City received the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials, Inc.( FAPPO) Award of Excellence in Public Procurement for 2026! The award recognizes organizational excellence to organizations that meet or exceed benchmarks and best practices in the procurement profession.
This year, the City of Port St. Lucie was one of only 25 organizations to win the award and the City has maintained this accomplishment for 24 consecutive years.
OMB strives to provide high-quality services and looks forward to continuing outstanding accomplishments all year long.
