PSL on the Pulse (02/13/26) Vol. 10 Issue 2 | Page 8

The Citizen Summit focused not only on ideas, but on real, measurable impact. Past Summits have resulted in several resident-driven initiatives, including:
• Naturally PSL: Green Spaces and Places, created in response to feedback from the 2023 Citizen Summit and announced at the 2025 Citizen Summit, which is expanding parks and preserving natural areas based on community input.
• The Port District, which opened in June 2024 after residents expressed a desire for greater recreational access to the St. Lucie River.
• Infrastructure projects, including roadway, sidewalk and connectivity improvements, prioritized using insights shared by residents.
This year’ s Summit also celebrated Port St. Lucie being named an All-America City by the National Civic League. That honor was strongly influenced by the City’ s commitment to resident engagement through initiatives like the Citizen Summit. Attendees described the event as a celebration of community pride and a meaningful opportunity to help shape the City’ s future.
