Supporting City strategy through department workshops
In January, the Strategic Initiatives and Innovation( SII) team continued its work by hosting strategic planning workshops designed to help departments find their place within the City’ s strategic goals. These sessions weren’ t just about planning; they were about collaboration, innovation and establishing priorities that will help advance progress on the strategic goals.
This month, we partnered with Special Events, Public Works, Human Resources, the City Clerk’ s Office and Communications. Each workshop was tailored to the department’ s unique role and needs, while maintaining a consistent framework that encouraged open dialogue, reflection and actionable planning.
By equipping teams with tools to evaluate progress and innovate, SII continues to champion strategic thinking across all departments. Together, we’ re driving meaningful progress toward a more resident-focused City, one where every department plays a vital role in achieving our vision.
