While some stores are still trying to figure out how to get money from plus size beauties, some stores are not even second guessing it. Other less pricey stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Macy's, Target, AJ Wright and up scale Lord & Taylor have us all figured out. I'm sure by now these stores have realized that the plus sized category controls nearly 30% of the purchasing power for clothing. Independent designer Jen Wilder has come to the conclusion that there is more money to be made dressing curvy women than with the average skinny females. I'd say, epiphany or what? But on like Wilder, there are still many companies that refuse or just won't even bother to make plus size clothing. To name one would be the up front Abercrombie &Fitch. But who cares about the brands that wont embrace your vivacious thickness. What matters is there are some companies giving in more and more. You just have to find the right spots. Just think, in years to come, searching for plus size clothing will be nonexistent because the movement is all happening as we speak.
Till then don't give up! Call certain stores to make sure they have your size before you go. That way there's no disappointments. Shop online as well. But before you purchase anything online check the chart measurements so you don't buy a skirt or dress too big or too small. It really bites to receive that pretty blouse you ordered and so desperately waited for finally come and does not fit. We've all been through that ordeal. Here is a listing of online plus size clothing websites that offer some really nice stuff.
