There are plenty plus size women asking the same typical questions. Where the heck can I find trendy outfits that actually fit my persona? Although I don't have the answer 100% I will tell you that the options are expanding. Not that Ashley Stewart and Lane Bryant aren't our first choice anymore. We just want a variety of different places to shop.
I will be honest about one thing. I can't help but say that designers have to step it up a bit faster. Why all the constant asking of where to get bigger trendy clothing? I personally do not think it is very fair that if you are thin you have the privilege of walking into just about any clothing store to find something to wear. Quick and easy! Whereas the more curvy females have to always try to find the next best stores to shop. It's "the struggle" at times. And so if you happen to bump into a store that does have plus sizes there is either very little variety, the clothes tend to look out of style, out dated or the sizes only go up to 3X. Something is wrong with this picture! I am one to think of all humans as equal and it could very well just be me that feels there is some type of favoritism going on, but this needs to change. It is plain shameful already.
There are brands that are beginning to realize that plus size consumers will buy and help their market rates increase a lot more if they added larger sizes. H&M is known to have cute outfits and also offers a spec of light to our thick ladies. The Kardashian sisters have also created a new brand by the name of Kurves, where you can find their clothes selling at Sears. Khloe is thick for crying out loud! So plus size clothes was a great beneficial idea on the sisters behalf might I add.
The scoop I found is Saks Fifth Avenue, is going to start allowing plus sizes from the more luxury name brands, like Armani, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta into their store. How will this work, you say? Well unfortunately there's a slight twist to this. The experiment will be only just a few pieces on the floor to see how fast they are purchased. So you might say its a work in progress.
