Readers Story Just being Dad... We know that there is still a mistaken general belief that arthritis affects mainly older people. The hard truth is that it affects many age groups and, cruelly, quite often hits during one of the busiest phases of our lives when we are working, raising a family and/or caring for others. Although traditional roles are more mixed these days, often with both parents out to work and juggling home life, it is still less likely that men will talk openly about how they feel about living with chronic pain & fatigue.
