Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort is located on a privately-owned , spring-fed lake in northeastern Pennsylvania . The family owned and operated business started 67 years ago and is run by sisters Jennifer Wertz , president & CEO ; Jimann Petroski , vice president , operations ; and Jan Keen , vice president , marketing and entertainment .
The property ’ s unique accommodations include a Yurt with a lake view , two bedrooms and a loft area . It offers a fully equipped kitchen , including a full-size refrigerator , microwave and coffee maker . Outside , it has a dock with a paddle boat and life jackets , a grill and a deck . The yurt rents for $ 228 / a night with a two-night minimum during the regular season and four night minimum in July and August .
A new treehouse rental is under construction for summer 2021 . It will sleep a family of five ; feature its own bathroom and have a six-foot covered porch .
The campground offers many cabin and park model rentals as well as a caboose , a tree house , covered wagon and a double decker bus . Call the resort to check the pricing and availability of its other rentals . It is open from April 1 – November 1 .

They offer 10 glamping sites , designed for couples , featuring a 16 x16 safari-style tent on a platform . They include a queen-sized bed , lighting , a stand-up cooler , coffee maker and grill . For 2021 , they will open four new glamping units designed for families . The four-person 16 ” x 24 ” tents are built on large 16 “ x 32 ” platforms with a front deck overlooking the lakefront . These units are equipped with a queen bed , two twin beds , side tables , lighting , mini fridge , mini Keurig , area rug , cooler , porch rockers , picnic tables , propane grill and a fire pit .
The resort offers many amenities , including a camp store , gift shop , a snack bar , pavilion , boat rentals , laundry and bath houses .
Keen Lake opens May 1 and closes on Columbus Day . Glamping tent rentals range from $ 129 to $ 219 for the two person units and $ 209 to $ 269 for the four person rentals with a two-night minimum rental . During peak season , a three-night minimum rental is required . Rental during the July 4th holiday requires a four-night minimum stay . Guests bring their own linens and pillows or request a linen package for an additional fee . Pets and smoking are not permitted .
