My sister began to panic as my parents and I searched for it. Who would have taken a menorah? Maybe it was my sister trying to play a funny prank. Or my parents to stall for giving us gifts. It could have been my sisters friends who came over today and was trying to joke with us. We were still unsure where it was, but it was already 10 pm so we decided to skip presents and lighting the menorah and went straight to bed. Tonight I remembered to set my alarm.
Hanukkah, O' Hanukkah!
The annoying sound of my alarm woke me up. I dragged myself downstairs, still anxious to know where the menorah was. I hoped that my parents had found it already. Unfortunately, I was wrong as I looked at the empty windowsill and my parents' faces. I could see the disappointment in all of my family's eyes. The driving force behind me wanting to find the menorah was the fact that I didn't get my gift last night, and I really need a new video game! As I searched the house, a strange noise caught my attention. It was coming from the kitchen pantry. I called my parents and we opened the door slowly. To our amazement, we found Scout, meticulously gnawing on the end of our beloved menorah!
