Life in the camps was never good, and the lack of hygiene did not help the situation. There were many people in a concentration camp at a time. With thousands of people confined in one space, many diseases were passed along from one person to another. Also, the people in camps, rarely, if ever, showered or brushed their teeth which lead to many other infections and illnesses. The majority of the people who died in the concentration camps, died from illnesses, diseases, exhaustion, or they were beaten to death if they were not working hard enough. People also were not given enough food and worked too much which led to death by starvation.
Unsanitary Conditions
The cruelty experienced by Jews should never be forgotten. The Jewish race nor any race, should ever be treated in this manner. Yet, it happened, and it changed many people's lives forever. Although many victims are physically and mentally scarred forever, it makes them realize how fast life can be gone. People have to savor every breath as if it was their last. Others, who have not experienced this kind of torture firsthand, have also learned from this tragedy. Most have learned that everyone is equal and all life shiould be respected.
