ProTeam teacher. After the interview questions have been answered, the students
can write a brief summary of what they have learned about their teacher.

Give the students two days to make an interview appointment (within one week)
with the teacher they plan to see. Some students may have chosen the same teacher;
if so, perhaps a group of no more than three could make arrangements to visit the
teacher at the same time. All students will need to get an individual answer to
question #6. Also, because of time constraints, some students may need to conduct
the interview during the ProTeam class. Giving students flexibility is a good way to
continue to develop their personal responsibility.

Once the interviews have been completed (within a week of assignment), students
are to bring their notes to class for the next phase of the assignment.
Allow time for each student or group of students to share with the class their
experience meeting face to face with their chosen teacher. Students will again visit
the teacher to present the interview summary and the project they completed
regarding this teacher.
Part Three
8. Once all projects have been presented to the class, follow up with a class discussion
to create a master list of teacher qualities/characteristics the selected favorite
teachers have in common.

The class should come up with a creative way to record the list, make copies, and
then post in the ProTeam room or the teacher work room.
Part Four
10. Each student should also send a personal note of thanks to the teacher he
interviewed. This can be done as a traditional thank you note or in a more creative
way.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT:
v Students could find out about favorite teachers or memorable teachers of their
parents/guardians or brothers or sisters and report to the class. Also, they could find

6. With the interview information, students can work to create a project that captures
the personality of the teacher they interviewed. Provide the following choices or
allow students to think of their own format:

v write a paper
