PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT: MODULE 4 ASSIGNMENTS
I Can Think Positively
The contents of your portfolio should be unique, reflecting who you are and what you have learned during
this module of study.
1.
Initial letter or essay
Write what you do to be a positive thinker. This assignment can be in the form of a letter,
paragraph, poem, story, or song.
2.
Required assignment
Activity 4.A.: My Special Pennant: Include the pennant you designed. Write a response to the
following question: In what ways does your pennant symbolize your past, present, and future?
3.
Required module assessment
Include the module assessment assigned or approved by your teacher. Write a short response to the
following question: What does this piece of work show about what you have learned or how you
have grown?
4.
The student’s choice
Include an assignment of your choice from this module. Include a short response to the following
questions: Why did you choose to include this piece? What does it show about what you have
learned or how you have grown?
5.
Closing remarks or summation
Write a summary of what you have learned from all of the activities in this module. You may
write your remarks in any form including a paragraph, a poem, a journal entry, a letter to your
teacher, or a story.
6.
Self-evaluation
The final component is a self-evaluation of your portfolio work for this module. Using the grading
scale established by your teacher, rate your work, giving a brief explanation of why you gave
yourself your grade or rating. You may want to include peer evaluations with ratings and
comments by other students in the class after they have reviewed your portfolio work. You may
use the self- and peer-evaluation rating forms that can be secured from your teacher.
