Ask students to “take a walk in their parents’ shoes.” First, ask each student to brainstorm
and list what he/she thinks are the greatest and the hardest aspects of being
parents/guardians (Example: Greatest—seeing one’s son/daughter get good grades;
knowing that one’s child has integrity; Hardest—enforcing rules about where children
can go; saving money for college).
