Articles and textbooks commonly define a project as a unique experience that has never happened before and will never happen again under the same circumstances . This creates challenges for project management approaches which must be tapered to the unique characteristics of the current project . Challenges which often represents a major problem even for the most skilled and effective project teams . According to Wysocki ( 2019 ) project managers often fail to choose appropriate management method for a given project . There is no unique approach to project management that would fit all types of projects , and each project management approach offers advantages and disadvantages ( Petrović , Milićević , and Sofronijević 2017 ). Project management approaches and `best practices ´ are most valuable when they are nuanced and used in a reflective way in light of the complexity and variety that apply to projects , the people involved and their surroundings ( Skyttermoen and Vaagaasar 2015 ).
A need for more research Despite these challenges , existing literature fails to provide sufficient guidance for dealing with such problems in creative industries ( Cuyler 2014a ). The need for more research exploring the contribution of the artistic , creative and explo-
