Captain Morgan
Original
Spiced Rum
What our tasters said:
“Very light.”
“I really like the flavour of this one. It was
pretty smooth and smells delicious.”
“It burned my lips. Flavour is very
defined but I don’t like it.”
Our tasters were on the fence when
it came to this Puerto Rican spiced
rum, as the consensus seemed to be
that it was “light”, in both flavour and
colour. Some of our tasters who stated
that they were not partial to rum as
their alcoholic beverage of choice,
actually liked Captain Morgan’s
spiced rum as it wasn’t particularly
strong. For those who enjoyed this
brand, the spicy aroma seemed to
be the standout factor, with one
taster stating it smelled “yummy”.
Breyers’
Natural Vanilla
“Light. I am not really getting
the essence of the flavour.”
According to our tasters, Breyers was
definitely the most ‘vanilla’ brand
that they sampled. While Breyers was
considered as having the best ‘overall
taste’ and many loved its creamy white
appearance with the added flecks of
vanilla beans, our tasters deemed it to
be a standard vanilla — a good, solid
option, but nothing to write home about.
What our tasters had to say:
“This was a little bland.”
“Good vanilla flavour. I
liked the vanilla bean.”
“Good appearance. Subtle
flavour and pretty refreshing.”
“It’s alright.”
