FIGHTING INFECTIOUS DISEASES (FID) Gambia is a non-profit NGO set up to assist and support hospitals, health centre and community based health organisations in The Gambia in their continuous fight against infectious diseases such as meningitis, yellow fever, measles, tuberculosis, malaria, cholera, dysentery, Leprosy, River Blindness, Measles, Hiv/Aids and other diarrhoeas

FID was founded in 2009 by a team of professionals involved in a range of community projects in The Gambia, aimed at helping impoverished families and communities in their fight against Infectious diseases and non communicable diseases thereby complimenting government’s efforts.

FID is a registered Organization in Ireland and in The Gambia.

Guided by a competent board of directors with experience on health education and community development.Work with communities, schools and health facilities

FID has registered with TANGO, a body that registers charities in The Gambia. It has also been granted NGO status and has also obtained Mou (Memorandum of understanding) with the ministry of Health and Social Welfare.tax identification number-0911205767
