Mandate

To complement Government’s efforts in maintaining a well informed and healthy populace free from the burden of infectious Diseases and other non communicable diseases as well within a secured and highly develop country as ascribed in The Gambia Vision 2020 Blue Prints

Mission

To provide healthcare services to communities, families and individuals affected by infectious diseases and non communicable diseases. To assist and support hospitals, health centres and organisations based in The Gambia in the continuous fight against the threats of infectious diseases to the population but especially families in rural areas.

Vision

FID anticipates for a Gambia where Communities, families and individuals know and respond appropriately and timely to infectious and non communicable diseases, increase the availability of, and access to, health, sanitation and education services for marginalised families living in rural areas and the public is well informed of adequate control and preventive measures against these diseases

FID’S vision is a world in which no one will die of an easily preventable and curable disease because of barriers of distance, terrain and poverty prevents them from being reached.
