My number one hack is definitely rice water.
Rice water has changed my hair for the better and I just
found it on YouTube super randomly! Apparently, rice
water has been used among the ancient Oriental people
for several years, so this is no new discovery. I use rice
water as a conditioner after washing my hair with my
very basic shampoo (Olive Oil shampoo) - here’s the pro-
cedure:
1. Get a 1L bottled water container and fill the bottom of
the bottle with dry, uncooked white rice (see photo for
estimated amount). You can rinse the rice ahead in case
it was from a less than hygienic source (open market).
2. Fill the bottle with water and allow to stand for at
least 48 hours.
And that’s it!
Application:
•
After washing your hair with shampoo, go ahead
to divide your hair into small sections and apply the rice
water liberally from root to tips.
•
Plait your hair tightly and cover with a shower
cap.
•
After at least one hour, use a wide tooth comb
to comb through your hair – it should be smoother than
prior to putting the rice water in! Once you’ve combed
it through, rinse the rice water out and dry your hair
gently with a towel.
