T the revolution THE RUTH Nigerians, oh no Nigeria! Fulani or Igbo and so what Christian or Muslim and so what North or South and so what Don’t you see that we are still one, under the green and white colour of our flag? But no we don’t see because we can’t see We are blinded by bigoted opinions that just make us hate This leads us to annihilate each other We’ve started to tear down everything our forefathers began to build, instead of finish it I tell you the truth, The Hate You Give Little Infants F’s Everybody But there is still hope. I see a new generation of leaders, I see a light in our gross darkness and I see a dawning of the long night And we the youths are the hope Our fathers fought for our independence, but we are the ones to fight for a transformed Nigeria Paraphrasing Martin Luther King Jr. I quote, “I have a dream that my future children will one day live in a Nigeria where they will not be judged by their name, by their religion, by their origin or even gender but be judged by the content of their character. I have a dream” And that’s the whole truth. Thank you PAUL M. GALI University of Maiduguri page 05 page 27
