Prohibition

Journalists who exposed the corruption in politics, poor working conditions in factories, and many other things the poor had to go through. They rose awareness, and woke people began a reformation of the nation.

Reformers tried to implement reform laws in the government. The 18th Ammendment (1919) prohibited the sale of alcohol. It was soon repealed, because people began smuggling alcohol in, and it was difficult to enforce.
