Globcon Global Control Software Globcon has introduced its namesake free global control software for its entire product range. Globcon was conceived and designed from the end-user’s point of view to allow con- sistent and coherent control of multiple pieces of equipment from different brands as if they were one. German pro audio manufacturer DirectOut is the first adopter of Globcon. A public beta version of the software is now available, providing integrated control and management of several DirectOut devices via a local USB port or network. Available for Mac, PC, and Linux systems, the software can act as an alternative to the existing DirectOut remote controls. Each Globcon node enables access of its local connected hardware. As a result, multiple users running Globcon on different computers can share the control of all the hardware via a network. The software offers devices' independent snapshots, facilitates and synchronises real-time changes, and ensures monitoring of numerous hardware devices with one unified control.
