TOA Revamps Technical Support Audio Design Program
TOA Canada Corporation has revamped its Technical Support Audio Design Program. By cre-
ating a visually appealing document with credible layout information, TOA clients will better
understand how TOA’s speakers will perform in various applications. Taking advantage of
the EASE Evac software to assist with the best practice design, the resulting output forms a
colourful EASE simulation drawing that illustrates the distribution of direct sound levels as
well as speech intelligibility. This process, supported by the TOA team, identifies the audio
solutions quickly and clearly.

… After six-and-a-half years as the AES’s executive director, Bob Moses opted to
leave his position, effective July 1, 2018. As executive director, he worked to en-
hance AES’s service to its key stakeholders, bringing the society more effectively
into the information age with a focus on the membership’s online experience and
enhancing value to manufacturers, service providers, and content creators. Bill
Foster, an AES member for 30-plus years who has served as an officer and chair
in the AES’s British section and is currently the AES’s financial planning officer,
will serve as the interim executive director. The AES will soon announce details of
its recruitment search for a new permanent executive director. www.aes.org.

was prompted by “strong busi-
ness growth and a commitment
to improving efficiencies and in-

It will carry a larger inventory for
quicker sales turnaround and
include a new, state-of-the-art
demonstration room.
