Auralex GeoFusor Sound Diffusor
Auralex Acoustics has released the GeoFusor sound diffusor, which is based on the geodesic dome pattern. The GeoFusor’s
dimensional shape is designed to offer smooth, even diffusion and allows back filling with absorptive material for enhanced
low-end control.
The GeoFusor is wall- and ceiling-mountable and is offered in two sizes (1 x 1 ft. and 2 x 2 ft.). The 2 x 2-ft. GeoFusor is sized
to fit in ceiling grids and offered in fire-rated and non-fire-
rated variations. The GeoFusor’s contemporary aesthetic
complements residential or commercial environments, and
the complementary design of the 1 x 1-ft. and 2 x 2-ft. models
permits arraying for acoustical and design purposes.

Waves Audio is now shipping the F6
floating-band dynamic EQ plug-in,
which features six floating, fully-
adjustable parametric filter bands,
advanced EQ and compression/
expansion controls per band, mid-side
processing options, and more.
The Waves F6 can be used for diverse
equalization, compression, expansion,
and de-essing processes, whether mix-
ing or mastering, in the studio or live.
Each of the six floating bands contains
advanced EQ and dynamic controls that
let the user zero in on any problem spot
and treat it only when the problem arises.
Rather than treating a frequency one
time and then leaving it there for the
entire track, the Waves F6 combines
equalization with compression/expan-
sion, such that the EQ is sensitive to the
dynamics of the track. This way the user
can select not only by how much, but
also precisely when a specific frequency
will be boosted or cut, compressed or
expanded.
