NAMM Show to Continue Enhanced Focus on Event Technology Professionals
Following the premiere of NAMM’s partnerships with various professional organizations involved in the live production sector, The 2019 NAMM Show it set
to continue its enhanced educational program and other features for event technology professionals from Jan. 24-27. Additionally, the official campus map
for The NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center is now available. The expansive NAMM campus in and around the centre showcases thousands of
brands across music, pro audio, lighting, and entertainment products and technologies, and features a series of education centres, festival areas, lounges, and
demo and meeting spaces.
Emerging and established lighting and production professionals can learn from industry luminaries in a hands-on environment in a series of sessions and
tracks. The Pro Production Sessions will feature topics related to video and sound. Top production designers will share their creative process and implemen-
tation and tour managers will give advice on logistics, packing, and managing major stadium tours. ESTA, PLASA, and other curators are also programming
education tracks for event technology professionals designed to provide in-depth knowledge to event technology and design professionals on lighting,
networking, rigging, and safety.
As well, the Parnelli Awards, which honours the live production community, will return to The NAMM Show on Jan. 25, 2019.
With the recent expansion of the convention centre, the 2019 show will also feature wider aisles, more places to network, and updated dining options.

For the first time, the Prolight + Sound and Musikmesse trade shows will be held concurrently across their entire four-day runs from April 2-5, 2019, in
Frankfurt, Germany. The shows allow visitors to discover the entire spectrum of products for the music and live entertainment sectors.
The layout of Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound is designed to achieve the optimal concentration of product groups and themes. For the first time,
all audio products will be concentrated in one area, Hall 8.0. Opened in September 2018, Hall 12 will house lighting, stage equipment, and entertainment
technology. In Hall 4.0, companies from the sectors of light, media tech-
nology, and event safety will present their products and services in the
centre of the exhibition visitor stream. Hall 4.1 will bring together associ-
ations of the music and event sector and is home to a joint business and
networking area for both fairs. There, Prolight + Sound exhibitors will also
have the opportunity to make presentations in the heart of the exhibition
centre. The space will also feature an elaborate lounge with a lecture
stage and catering zones designed to encourage business discussions in
a relaxed atmosphere.
The Immersive Technology Forum is also being continued. Compa-
nies in the event and media technology sector will provide insights into
best practices relating to 3D and spatial audio, virtual and augmented
reality, 360-degree projection, and holography.
