InfoComm 2020 to Introduce Live Events
Experience
North America’s
largest AV show,
InfoComm, will
return to Las
Vegas from June
13-19, 2020, and
will introduce the
new Live Events
Experience (LEX).
This new
feature will pres-
ent a breadth of
AV technology
in live events
through innovative performances and provide behind-the-scenes
access to an interactive tech showcase for attendees to test event
activations. The stage lineup will also include conversations with tech-
nology professionals on topics ranging from the surge of AV adoption in
esports to overall trends in the performance and entertainment world.
In addition to an array of discussions with technology profession-
als, the LEX stage will feature live performances throughout the week.
This includes the dance performance group iLuminate, a finalist on
America’s Got Talent, which mixes wearable LED technologies with
choreography performed in the dark.
InfoComm is also hosting a half-day Live Events Conference on June
18 th , which will focus on the rapidly-changing corporate events land-
scape and how AV professionals can adapt to the growing demands.

NAB Show Cancelled Due to Coronavirus
The 2020 NAB Show is the latest major event to be cancelled as a result of the
COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) pandemic. The largest North American show for the
media technologies industries, the NAB Show was supposed to take place from
April 18-22 and attract around 90,000 people to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“As you know, we have been carefully monitoring coronavirus develop-
ments both domestically and globally over the past few weeks. In the interest
of addressing the health and safety concerns of our stakeholders and in
consultation with partners throughout the media and entertainment industry,
we have decided not to move forward with the NAB Show in April. We are
currently considering a number of potential alternatives to create the best
possible experience for our community,” NAB said in its statement released on
March 11th.
The possibility of the show being rescheduled was not ruled out, as the
letter states, “We are still weighing the best potential path forward, and we ask
you for your patience as we do so. We are committed to exploring all possible
alternatives.”
