Altman Lighting PHX Lime Chip
Altman Lighting has unveiled new updates to an older product . Evolved from the original PHX line , the new PHX Lime chip is brighter without any increase of power pull , meaning that mixing to white , users see anywhere between a 1,000-2,000 more lumen increase in total brightness per fixture , per lens , while also providing the punchy independent saturates of red , green , and blue . This is made possible by splitting the LED only four times , allowing the company to deliver more power to the saturate chips than many other fixtures in the current market while still maintaining thousands of colour combinations , it says .
The new PHX LVD is a true “ dim to 0 ” LED with a very smooth fade out and in , according to Altman . Many other LED products in the market that run off dimmers have a “ pop on ” or “ drop out ” point , which is not preferable for smooth dimming , it says .
Blackmagic Designs ATEM 2 M / E Advanced Panel
Blackmagic Design has announced two new ATEM hardware control panels for all ATEM switchers . The new 30- and 40-button models of the ATEM 2 M / E Advanced Panel are large enough that the user has dedicated controls for the largest ATEM switchers , but are compact enough to fit into any studio space .
While including the same features as the ATEM 2 M / E Advanced Panel that has 20 input buttons , these new models are wider and have 30 and 40 input buttons . Both models still feature multiple LCDs for custom button labels , multiple separate system control LCDs , 2 T-bar fader controls , and more . ATEM Advanced Panels open the power of the ATEM Constellation because they give users more control , allowing them to set up more complex effects . It ’ s also a nicer way to work because users have physical broadcast-quality buttons , knobs and a T-bar fader , so they can access all features in the switcher , all at the same time . The ATEM Constellation has been designed to give users the most advanced live switching workflow . Internally , the ATEM Constellation has separate program and preview buses that can be used to switch sources quickly and accurately .
