Utelogy, a software publisher for intelligent management and control for
connected workspaces, has signed a distribution agreement with Techni+-
Contact Canada.

AVL Media Group has announced the hiring of Jean-Philippe Tremblay
as part of its video team and Rob Poretti as its new director of sales for
Ontario.
Tremblay was previously the managing technical advisor for
Solotech’s video department, overseeing equipment acquisition and
planning and launching many major North American tours.
Prior to joining AVL, Poretti led Solotech’s Sales and Systems Integra-
tion division in Toronto. He brings more than 30 years of experience to
his new role and will spearhead sales and marketing initiatives with the
primary goal of expanding AVL’s presence in all Ontario markets.

Agenda Announced for the CCBE’s Annual Conference
The Association of Central Canada Broadcast Engineers, Technologists
and Technicians (CCBE) will be hosting its annual conference from
Sept. 26-29, 2019, in King City, ON.
The conference offers four days of technical papers, workshops,
and training sessions conducted by design engineers, industry profes-
sionals, and their representatives. It’s an opportunity to meet and talk

with technology pioneers, equipment manufacturers, and distributors,
as well as a chance to meet with fellow broadcast engineers and
technologists attending from Newfoundland to Manitoba, and discuss
how they are dealing with their own technical challenges.
